Chris Furter, Our News President of the United States!

Wednesday, October 16, 2012

Election day has come and Republican candidate Chris Furter has won the election! He won 314 electoral votes, which was the majority. After the election, Nicole's News caught up with him and he exclaimed that he was "expecting to win and that it feels great to finally win." We also asked who was the most helpful on his campaign committee and he said Casey Harvey. Will Wright, his other campaign manager heard this statement and became somewhat offended that Chris didn't say he was the most helpful. Congrats Chris!

Rebekah Kim on the other hand was sad she lost but happy that she got the opportunity to run. She did not want to answer any questions after the election, but Nicole's News wants to give her a round of applause for a great effort!

Chris captured the votes by winning multiple regions but him and Rebekah were tied in the New England and the Industria regions. Nicole's News would like to thank all of the campaigns for participating and being great sports about the campaign! Once again, congrats Chris Furter, the President of the United States!

Presidential Nomination Speeches Capture America

Monday, October 15, 2012

The presidential nomination acceptance speeches were filled with excitement and optimism. The Republican party started off with their keynote speaker, Angel Rivera. He believes that "America is always breaking new ground and pushing new limit in this age of technology." However, he believes that the best decision for America is to elect Chris Furter for president.

Matt Lynch, the vice president for Chris Furter, started the Republican speeches. Even though he did work for the Hunter Ray campaign, he says that he has "always held Chris in high regard." Nicole's News thought that this was rude of Matt to say because he basically said that he always favored Chris over Hunter. Matt stated that the " President Obama and his democratic members of Congress are more concerned with the next election rather than the next generation." Matt seemed very confident up on stage as he accepted the vice president nomination. Chris Furter took the stage with confidence as well. His speaking skills did improve from last time, however, he was still sort of monotone. He stressed how America can help us achieve our dreams and how us Americans have helped him achieve his dreams of becoming the president of the United States. He was very humble about not saying he would achieve everything he promised but that he would try, which is what counts.

John Oh was the keynote speaker for the Democrats. He was attacking Chris Furter's statements on dreams saying that Rebekah Kim was the one who really wanted the American dreams because many immigrants dream of coming to America. Vice president Alex Bulischek did a great job of being a convincing and optimistic vice president nominee. He believes that we can totally get rid of inequality in America. His speech was very short and clear cut but it definitely got the message through. When Rebekah Kim took the stage, she was very thankful for the American people. She included a quote from Abraham Lincoln saying, " A divided house cannot stand." She wants to break down the barriers of inequality to help the overall well-being of America. She makes the American people feel unified when she says that "we" can help change America.

Next, the election will take place so stay tuned!

Rebekah Kim and Chris Furter Capture the Primaries

Tuesday October 9,2012

The primary elections stirred up surprise in everyone when Chris Furter won the Republican nomination and Rebekah Kim won the Deomcrat nomination. Rebekah says she, "feels good about the primaries and is excited." She believes that it will be a close race between her and her fellow Reoublican candidate, Chris Furter. Chris on the other hand, expected to win the primaries and he thinks he will win the entire election. The Furter campaign is taking on Hunter Ray's debt, which will not be given out for the public to know. Hunter, the losing Republican candidate, says he "feels dead inside." Kelly Ibele betrayed Hunter by voting for another campaign. She commented that Chris "had a better platform and I was working for other candidates as well." John Ohm, another losing republican candidate, states that he will now be supporting the Rebekah Kim party. When asked why he switched over his party affiliation, he said, " I believe that after personal conversation, her policies are the best for America's well-being."

The audience definetly had mixed feelings about the campaign. Some said that they were happy with the way the election played out but some were surprised. Nicole's News was very surprised about the Republican nomination because it was very close between Hunter Ray and Chris Furter.

Alex Bulishcek is now vice president for Rebekah's campaign, while his campaign strategist Jacob Bucher is now in charge of a PAC.

Fundraising Speeches Help Voters Decide Who is the Best Candidate

Wednesday October 3, 2012

On Tuesday October 1, all of the presidential candidates attended the fundraising luncheon and delivered speeches to help voters decide who to vote for in the primaries.

Democrat Brian Torok looked promising as he approached the podium, but the audience was soon informed that his speech writer, Jack Harris, did not write a speech for him. Instead, Brian had to ad lib the entire speech. He spoke about immigration saying "we should close up the boarders, deport illegal immigrants who have committed felonies, and start a simpler process of legalization.." He also mentions that he wants to legalize drugs to get rid of the black market, but he is not a drug user.

John Oh's speech was very brief but he believes that he is a "strong, secure candidate." He mentioned that his schooling at Harvard has improved his leadership skills and his decision making skills. He also talks about the high prices at the gas pump, but doesn't give any solutions to that problem. However, he had a great presence about himself and he actually believed what he was saying, which is good to know for a presidential campaign.

Hunter Ray on the other hand was very focused on improving the overall well-being of the American people. He also spoke about immigration saying that we "should not actively seek out illegal aliens for deportation." He also wants to keep national income taxes low to uplift the middle class. Hunter had many people from the audience applauding for him throughout the speech which was somewhat distracting, but he did have a very well thought out speech.

Rebekah Kim's speech was very focused on providing equal rights to everyone. She says that "people deserve the right to make their own decisions." Just like Brian Torok, Jack Harris did not write a speech for her either, so she wrote a very brief, but well though out speech right before she went on stage. However, she did mention that she would "vow to... end discrimination" by "reviewing the Civil Rights Act of 1963." The Civil Rights Act was written in 1964, not 1963, which was a major fluke for Rebekah. Rebekah did look the classiest with her white blouse.

Chris Furter's speech was a good representation of the issues he wants fixed, especially the economy, but he did not seem very excited to be running for president. He looked very somber up at the podium as well. He wants to lower taxes on businesses but "that doesn't mean he is favoring big business." He also wants to deregulate government control in the government.

Alex Bulischek was the best speaker at the luncheon because he spoke with confidence and power and really meant what he was saying. He feels that one of the biggest things that needs to be reformed is welfare programs and he says to do this by "setting up a plan of welfare for people who need it but not become dependent on it." He also doesn't agree with Obama Care.

All of our candidates did a wonderful job at the luncheon. Next, Nicole's News will cover the highly anticipated primary elections!

Breaking News! Candidate Alex Bulischek Smokes Marijuana!

Wednesday October, 3 2012

Nicole's News received exclusive pictures of southern democrat candidate, Alex Bulischek smoking marijuana. Now, Nicole's News has received no further information on whether these pictures are edited or not but from the looks of it, it looks like he is smoking marijuana. These pictures are not allowed to be released due to the supervisor's rules. This could show potential voters that he wants to legalize marijuana and he will do marijuana if he does legalize it. However, for this time during the campaign, this was definitely not the right thing to do.
